Several things have been pushed to the side or just plain ignored while I've dealt with those. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I've been making an effort to get things back on track.

There is one project in Wyrm's catalog that has had the appearance of being cursed from day one.... the signed limited edition of Toast by Charles Stross. It was originally scheduled years ago and has been tripping over deadlines ever since. The good news is that is finally in the hands of our printer. If they survive the curse and don't burn down, I should have the books in early September. I'll post another update when they supply the final shipping date.

One of the other things I've been working on is an ebookstore for Wyrm and Clarkesworld. I think it still needs work, but I came to the realization that waiting for perfection was silly. You can now order ebook editions of Realms, Last Drink Bird Head, and back issues of Clarkesworld via the Wyrm Ebookstore. At this time, Wyrm has two stores: one for print and one for ebooks. It might be a bit confusing for some people, but it actually made sense when it came to the features each cart system offered. I hope to pull them together at some point in the future. Anyhow, the ebookstore has PayPal and Google Checkout as payment options. That should cover all your needs. Once paid for, you can download your EPUB or MOBI/Kindle edition and load it onto your reader.Wyrm Publishinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17959788549965987665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3925866530680196303.post-89506567413222063882010-03-22T07:02:00.000-07:002010-03-22T07:18:24.332-07:00Realms 2 Now Available

Realms 2: The Second Year of Clarkesworld Magazine is now available in hardcover and trade paperback. Also prime delightful is the eerie "The Things That Make Us Weak and Strange Get Engineered Away," one of Cory Doctorow's more unnerving forays into the short story. The selections come from a truly excellent assortment of venues, including Tor.com, Lone Star Stories, Baen's Universe, and Farrago’s Wainscot. They constitute a shining example of the good general anthology. Clearly, selecting only online stories imposed no limit on scope, variety, and high quality."
--Booklist (December 15, 2009)

Unplugged: The Web's Best Sci-Fi & Fantasy - 2008 Download edited by Rich Horton is available direct from Wyrm Publishing and should be in bookstores shortly. Everything is still moving forward, just not at the pace I had hoped for. VanderMeer will work as a creative consultant and publicist for the Ministry's books.

In its previous incarnations, the Ministry published the Philip K. Dick Award-winning Troika by Stepan Chapman, as well as the landmark Leviathan fiction anthologies. The Ministry was a World Fantasy Award finalist in 1998 and VanderMeer won a World Fantasy Award in 2003 for co-editing Leviathan 3, also a Philip K. Dick Award finalist.

Future projects for the Ministry will include Last Drink Bird Head, an anthology of flash fiction in support of literacy projects that features contributions from Gene Wolfe, Peter Straub, Tanith Lee, Stephen R. Donaldson, Rikki Ducornet, Caitlin Kiernan, Michael Swanwick, and many more. Through Wyrm Publishing, the Ministry will release two to three books a year, with the Leviathan series set to return in 2009. The Ministry is not currently soliciting book projects.

Wyrm Publishing was established by Neil Clarke earlier this year, and will soon publish books by Charles Stross, Gene Wolfe, and Tobias Buckell, in addition to the ongoing publication of Clarkesworld Magazine and its annual Realms anthology. Steve had done the covers for the Golden Gryphon editions of The Atrocity Archives and the Jennifer Morgue, so he seemed a perfect fit for this project.

The final art is just in and with a little magic added by Mary Robinette Kowal, we have now have a cover.
